Its not everyday that someone turns 100. Much less frequently is it someone I know. But this weekend is just such an occasion. My Great-Grandmother will be 100 years old. That is a lot of years. The amazing thing is that she is still in pretty good health. In fact, until just a few years ago she was still living on her own.

Naturally, there will be a grand hoopla surrounding the event. And naturally, the Family and I will be traveling to be a part of it. At least we are flying this time. Those 12 hour drives are getting to be really long.

Grandma, I hope you have a wonderful day. We can’t wait to see you.
