I Are an Inventor
I was just poking around the US Patent Office website to see if any of my applications have been granted or published. These were done for the company that I work for, but I got to have my name on the application as an inventor since they were my concepts. I also did the drawings for the applications.
Anyway, one of the 2 or 3 patent applications that have my name on them has been published. Of course, it took a fair amount of work to locate it. They spelled my name wrong and gave it the ol’ Gardner treatment. I suppose it could have been worse. They got my first name right at least.
As a kid it bothered me when people got my name wrong on stuff that was important. Like my Pinewood Derby trophy for a Corey Gardner. Or School awards for a Cory Garner. I mean who are these people anyway. I guess I have another thing to add my list of mis-spelled accolades.
