I have been saving money for a while now to order a new digital camera. Well, the day finally came for me to place my order. I found a great deal on Amazon.com and placed my order last Saturday.

Whenever you order something online you get a little excited about the whole process. You look forward to that email with the holy tracking number. Then you start checking the Package Tracker Widget multiple times a day. You start the mental math to see if it on schedule. It feels like Christmas is coming and your a kid again.

I commented to the Wife that it sucks ordering something on a Saturday since you have to wait until Monday to recieve word that it shipped. Postponing the tracking ritual is probably considered torture in many cultures. It wasn’t until late last night that I realized, to my horror, that my order wouldn’t be shipping today. Yeah, I forgot about the President’s Day weekend. That means nothing until tomorrow, at least. That means the likelihood of it arriving this week is slim.

I am officially bummed.
