Regular readers here at DigitalSanbox ? hi Mom! ? may recall my excitement over an impending purchase. Well, it isn’t going to happen and now I am iofficially bummed.

I was supposed to get a SMART Grant to pay for this lovely beast. Unfortunately, they forgot to mention that in order to qualify for the SMART Grant you can’t have more than 120 credits. I thought I had 121 and was all ready to fight for an appeal. That’s when I learned that I have 121 UVSC credits. When you add in my transfer credits I have 159. That’s just a little too high to justify the fight.

At least my $200 deposit won’t go to waste. The bookstore will still let me get the software which is just slightly over that amount. Anyway, for now I will be sticking with my Mini and mourning the loss of my MacBook Pro.
