Remembering Grandma

I have been meaning to write about this for a few days now, but I just couldn’t think of way to do it justice. This definitely won’t fit the bill, but I don’t feel right about letting it pass without saying soemthing.

My Great-Grandma Lucy passed away last week. It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating her 100th birthday. And now she is gone. She was suffering quite a bit over the last few months so we knew that the time was coming. In a way we are glad that she can rest now. That doesn’t mean that we won’t miss her. She means so much to this family that I am sure she will be remembered for years.

Her life was not extraordinary by the world’s standards. For the most part she just lived. But she loved her family and they loved her. We are all a little richer for having known her. And we are all a little poorer at her passing.
